Information Collection

SMG-Hosting is the sole owner of the information collected on SMG-Hosting.co.uk.
We request users information such as Name, address, email address etc whenever a hosting package is purchased or domain registration is carried out. We do not collect Credit card information directly on our site; instead PayPal.com carries out all credit card transactions.

We will ‘NEVER’ ask you for any credit card or bank account details via email, therefore if you do receive any correspondence claiming to be from SMG-Hosting asking for credit card or bank account information then please report it immediately to Accounts@SMG-Hosting.co.uk.

Information Use

Profile
We store users information (Excluding credit card information!) in a secure password protected database both online and offline, which is inaccessible by third parties. This information is backed up on a regular basis and copies are stored securely offline at our customer services department.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user’s computer tied to information about the user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once the user closes their browser the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file that is stored on the users hard drive for an extended period of time.
